Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced QC Engineer to support quality control activities throughout material inspection, fabrication, testing, and final product realization. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with project specifications, approved procedures, applicable codes, ITPs, QCPs, and client requirements while coordinating with Production, Engineering, QA/QC teams, and client representatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify incoming materials against Material Requisition s (MRQ), LPOs, purchase specifications, and project requirements.
  • Review and verify material test certificates and supporting documentation for acceptance.
  • Maintain material traceability by recording unique identification numbers in material traceability sheets.
  • Assist in raising and following up on Nonconformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliant materials or fabrication deviations.
  • Ensure applicable Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) are available and followed on the shop floor.
  • Coordinate with Production Engineers and Welding Supervisors to ensure compliance with approved welding practices.
  • Support stage-wise inspections throughout fabrication in accordance with approved ITPs and QCPs and ensure required sign-offs are completed.
  • Coordinate and support Destructive Testing (DT) and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) activities as required.
  • Assist in coordinating and witnessing pressure testing activities.
  • Perform inspections of blasting, painting, and coating activities in accordance with project requirements.
  • Ensure measuring and testing instruments are properly maintained, calibrated, and available for inspection activities.
  • Prepare, compile, and maintain inspection, testing, and qualification records.
  • Support the preparation of inspection and test packs and final project quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with Customer Representatives, Third-Party Inspectors, and Class Surveyors on quality-related requirements.
  • Support the communication and reporting of inspection results to senior engineers, management, and clients.
  • Provide guidance and support to QC Inspectors and other team members as required.
  • Promote awareness of quality standards, approved procedures, and project-specific requirements among project and production teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company QHSE policies and applicable project quality requirements.
  • Perform additional duties assigned by the QA/QC Manager or Project Management.
Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Degree, Diploma, or relevant Professional Training Certification.

Technical

Qualification:

ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification.

Experience:

Minimum 5–10 years of relevant experience in quality control, inspection, fabrication, Oil & Gas, EPC, marine, or heavy engineering projects.

Skills:

Strong knowledge of material inspection, welding and fabrication inspection, NDT/DT coordination, pressure testing, coating inspection, material traceability, NCR management, and quality documentation.

Software:
Proficient in MS Office.

Knowledge

Good understanding of ITPs, QCPs, WPS, material certificates, inspection procedures, quality records, applicable codes and standards, and client requirements.
