Mechanical Inspector

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Mechanical Inspector with prior experience in the engineering industry—preferably within contracting or consulting—to join our project team. This role is critical in supporting the execution of mechanical works on-site, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards while contributing to the successful delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in mechanical systems, a keen eye for detail, and familiarity with inspection processes across engineering projects, including installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and monitor mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and relevant codes/standards.
• Conduct inspections for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and other mechanical systems.
• Review material submittals, method statements, and inspection requests to ensure adherence to project requirements.
• Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve technical issues.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records of inspections, test reports, and site observations.
• Verify that mechanical installations meet safety and quality requirements.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities of mechanical systems.
• Ensure proper documentation and compliance with project quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
• Report non-conformances and follow up on corrective actions.
  
  Perform other project-related tasks as assigned by the Project/Construction Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Mechanical Inspector, preferably within an engineering consultancy or contracting company.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and firefighting.
  
  Familiarity with UAE construction codes, standards, and regulations.
• Good understanding of QA/QC processes and inspection methodologies.
• Proficiency in MS Office and ability to use relevant engineering tools/software.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspections in a fast-paced environment.
