The Mechanical Inspector serves as an important field-level quality control resource across construction and building services activities. The position requires continuous verification that mechanical installations, materials, testing procedures, and completed works comply with drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, applicable codes, and approved quality plans. Through disciplined inspections and early identification of deficiencies, the inspector helps reduce rework, protect project schedules, and support safe commissioning and handover.

• Inspect HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment, associated services, and relevant building system interfaces throughout construction.
• Verify installation quality against approved drawings, technical specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, and applicable codes.
• Supervise mechanical contractor activities and assess workmanship, materials, installation methods, and progress at site.
• Witness mechanical testing and commissioning activities, recording results and confirming that required acceptance criteria have been achieved.
• Prepare clear inspection reports supported by accurate observations, technical evidence, and recommended corrective actions.
• Identify defective work, specification deviations, safety concerns, and other non-conformances before they affect subsequent construction activities.
• Follow corrective and preventive actions through to satisfactory closure and maintain supporting inspection records.
• Coordinate technical issues with engineers, project managers, contractors, and other disciplines to prevent interface conflicts and unnecessary delays.
• Check that contractual quality requirements are maintained throughout installation, testing, commissioning, and project completion.
• Maintain traceable records covering inspections, tests, approvals, compliance documentation, certifications, and outstanding observations.
• Monitor mechanical equipment performance and provide technically justified recommendations regarding maintenance, rectification, or replacement where appropriate.
• Apply UAE construction requirements, international building standards, project quality procedures, and site safety protocols during inspection activities.
• Review drawings and technical documentation to establish inspection requirements before work proceeds.
• Support junior inspectors and site personnel with practical guidance on inspection methodology, workmanship standards, and quality expectations.
• Manage simultaneous inspection priorities while ensuring that critical works receive timely attention.
• Communicate technical findings clearly to both engineering specialists and non-specialist project stakeholders.
