Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Precast Inspector to support our marine and infrastructure projects in Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect precast concrete elements during production, handling, transportation, and installation.
- Monitor precast manufacturing activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.
- Inspect reinforcement, formwork, dimensions, embedded items, lifting anchors, and concrete works prior to casting.
- Witness concrete batching, placement, vibration, curing, and finishing activities.
- Review concrete mix designs, material approvals, test results, and relevant quality records.
- Witness and monitor concrete testing, including slump, temperature, cube testing, and other required tests.
- Inspect finished precast elements for dimensions, alignment, surface finish, cracks, honeycombing, and other defects.
- Verify identification, marking, storage, and traceability of precast elements.
- Monitor loading, transportation, lifting, and installation of precast elements.
- Coordinate with the Contractor, precast manufacturer, laboratory, and site team to resolve quality issues.
- Raise inspection reports and identify non-conforming works or materials.
- Maintain inspection records, photographs, test reports, and quality documentation.
- Ensure proper coordination between precast works and civil, structural, marine, and infrastructure activities.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in precast concrete inspection and quality control
. - Experience in marine and infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Good knowledge of concrete, reinforcement, formwork, casting, curing, and precast installation.
- Experience with inspection requests, material inspections, testing, and quality documentation.
- Familiarity with relevant international standards and project specifications.
- UAE experience is preferred.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
