AirQ is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector
- Incoming Quality Control to support our quality function and ensure the conformity, traceability, and timely release of incoming materials and components for our unmanned aerial systems.
The role will oversee incoming inspection activities covering raw materials, purchased parts, outsourced components, and both metallic and composite materials, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, purchase order requirements, and applicable quality standards.
The successful candidate will also support supplier quality activities, non-conformance management, material traceability, inspection documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain the highest standards of quality across AirQ's manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform visual and dimensional inspection of incoming materials and components.
- Verify supplier documentation including Certificates of Conformance, material test reports, and inspection reports.
- Inspect metallic and composite parts for dimensional, surface, and material defects.
- Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges and CMM where applicable.
- Verify part number, revision, quantity, batch/lot and serial traceability.
- Raise and manage NCRs and SCARs and support corrective actions.
- Support MRB, FAI and supplier validation activities
. - Monitor supplier quality performance and identify recurring defects.
- Support internal, supplier and external quality audits.
- Ensure compliance with AS9100 and customer quality requirements.
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Materials, Manufacturing Engineering
, or equivalent technical qualification. - 2+ years of hands-on experience in incoming/receiving inspection or quality control.
- Experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing is preferred.
- Experience inspecting metallic and composite parts is highly desirable.
- Good understanding of engineering drawings,
GD&T, specifications and material certifications. - Hands-on experience with precision measuring and material testing equipment.
- Knowledge of material traceability, sampling plans and QMS/ERP systems.
- AS9100 Internal Auditor or ISO 9001 certification is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and precision.
- Strong documentation and reporting skills.
- Effective communication with suppliers, procurement and engineering teams.
- Integrity and objectivity in inspection decisions.
- Ability to manage multiple inspections and priorities.
