#LI-DNI Job Purpose The QA/QC Engineer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities for road and highway construction projects. The role involves ensuring that construction activities, materials, workmanship, testing, and documentation comply with approved project specifications, drawings, applicable codes, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities Implement the project QA/QC Plan, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Method Statements, and Quality Procedures.
Monitor quality of construction activities related to earthwork, embankment, subgrade, GSB, WMM, bituminous works, drainage, structures, and road furniture.
Conduct inspections at various stages of construction and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements.
Coordinate with client, consultant, subcontractors, site engineers, and laboratory teams for inspection and testing activities.
Ensure that all construction materials are inspected and approved before use.
Review Material Test Certificates (MTCs), test reports, inspection reports, and quality records.
Coordinate and witness field and laboratory tests for soil, aggregates, concrete, asphalt/bitumen, and other construction materials.
Monitor testing requirements including FDT, sieve analysis, Proctor, C , concrete tests, bitumen/asphalt tests, density tests, and other relevant tests.
Raise and close NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), observations, and quality-related issues in coordination with the concerned teams.
Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and effectively closed.
Conduct regular quality inspections and prepare inspection requests, checklists, and quality reports.
Maintain proper documentation and records for audits, inspections, testing, and project handover.
Support internal, client, consultant, and third-party quality audits.
Ensure compliance with applicable IRC, MORTH/MoRTH, ASTM, AASHTO, IS, project specifications, and client requirements, as applicable.
Monitor calibration and validity of testing and measuring equipment.
Coordinate with the construction team to identify potential quality issues and implement preventive measures.
Participate in quality meetings and provide inputs on recurring quality issues and improvement initiatives.
Assist in preparation of Quality Dossiers / Final Documentation for project completion and handover.

Experience
Relevant experience in QA/QC for EPC / Road / Highway / Infrastructure projects.
Experience in road construction quality control, material testing, inspection, and documentation is preferred.
Candidates with experience in EPC road/highway projects and client/consultant coordination will be preferred.
