QA​/QC Manager​/2B

About the Role L&T Construction is seeking an experienced QA/QC Manager for a major RTA Roads and Infrastructure Project in Dubai, UAE
. The candidate will lead all quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring that works comply with approved drawings, project specifications, contractual requirements, and applicable authority standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan
  , inspection procedures, checklists, and quality-control systems.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, method statements, and RTA/UAE authority requirements
  .
• Manage QA/QC activities for roads, bridges, structures, utilities, drainage, earthworks, asphalt, concrete, and associated infrastructure works.
• Review method statements, Inspection and Test Plans, material submittals, shop drawings, and technical documents.
• Coordinate material inspections, site inspections, laboratory testing, and work approvals with consultants and project teams.
• Lead QA/QC engineers, inspectors, laboratory personnel, and subcontractor quality teams.
• Monitor subcontractor and supplier compliance with project quality requirements.
• Raise, track, and close Non-Conformance Reports
  , observations, and corrective or preventive actions.
• Conduct internal quality audits and support client, consultant, and authority audits.
• Analyse quality trends, identify recurring issues, and implement improvement measures.
• Maintain calibration records, material test certificates, inspection records, approvals, and quality documentation.
• Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports, performance indicators, and management updates.
• Coordinate the preparation of as-built records, testing dossiers, handover documents, and project close-out files.
• Promote a quality-focused culture and reduce rework, defects, and construction wastage.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 15–20 years of QA/QC experience in roads, highways, bridges, infrastructure, or major civil/EPC projects.
• Relevant UAE/GCC experience, preferably on RTA road or infrastructure projects in Dubai
  .
• Strong knowledge of roadworks, earthworks, asphalt, concrete, structural works, utilities, drainage, and material testing.
• Sound knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  , project specifications, and inspection requirements.
• Experience in quality audits, NCR management, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and project handover.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
• Certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent will be an advantage.

Candidates with proven QA/QC management experience in RTA highways, interchanges, bridges, structures, utility diversions, drainage networks, asphalt works, and major infrastructure projects in Dubai/UAE will be preferred.
