Food Safety Officer
Hello Chef is building a world-class food operation focused on quality, safety, and consistency.
We're hiring a Food Safety Officer to uphold high standards of food safety across our production operations, with particular focus on meat and fish processing.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is thorough, organised, and confident identifying risks and ensuring standards are consistently followed.
You'll work closely with our production teams, reporting to the Operations Manager.
Your Core Accountabilities- Food Safety Compliance:
Conduct inspections, verify hygiene and sanitation standards, coordinate food-safety testing, maintain accurate records, and stop or escape unsafe activities. - Incident Prevention & Resolution:
Identify risks, investigate failed inspections and incidents, follow through on corrective actions, and verify that problems are resolved.
- HACCP Level 4 certification.
- Hands-on food-safety experience in meat or poultry processing and production, including raw-meat handling, sanitation and cross-contamination prevention.
- Experience with food-safety inspections, environmental swabbing, microbiological testing and corrective actions.
- Strong attention to detail, discipline and organisational skills.
- Confidence communicating concerns and following through with production teams.
- Good written and spoken English.
- An on-site, hands-on role aligned to a six-day production schedule
