Overview
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available in the Department of Mathematical Sciences, College of Science, at United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). The position is funded by the UAEU Program for Advanced Research (UPAR). The appointment is for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension subject to satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. The position offers a tax-free monthly salary of approximately 9,000 AED.
The research focus is in low-dimensional topology, with particular emphasis on BPS spectra and reformulated in variants. The Postdoctoral Fellow will work under the supervision and guidance of the Principal Investigator (PI). The primary objective of the project is to establish properties of these in variants and their relationship to the topological types of knots, links, and three-manifolds. Research progress will be reviewed through regular meetings with the PI.
Responsibilities- Work closely with the PI to investigate various in variants of links and three-manifolds, including quantum in variants, BPS spectra, and reformulated in variants.
- Contribute to theoretical advances in understanding the topological properties of knots and three-manifolds encoded by these in variants.
- Produce original results suitable for publication in high-impact, internationally recognized research journals.
- Minimum Degree:
PhD in Low-Dimensional Topology or a closely related field. - Strong background in low-dimensional topology and string theory, with advanced computational skills and a proven record of high-quality research in the field.
