Job Description

The College of Business and Economics at United Arab Emirates University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Accounting. The position supports high quality empirical research in accounting, with a focus on sustainability, ESG, and corporate governance using large scale international datasets and advanced econometric methods.

• PhD in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution

• PhD in Accounting or a closely related field from an accredited institution
• Strong training in econometrics and empirical research methods
• Proficiency in Stata programming
• Demonstrated ability or clear potential to conduct quantitative empirical research
• Strong academic writing skills in English
• Commitment to research integrity, ethical standards, and data confidentiality

• Early career researcher or recent PhD graduate with up to three years of research experience
• Strong capability in data management, including cleaning, merging, and validation
• Experience using Stata for regression analysis, panel data methods, and robustness testing
• Ability to follow structured research plans, meet deadlines, and report progress to the Principal Investigator
• Ability to design and implement empirical models using advanced econometric techniques
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a research team
