Job Description
The Chemical Engineering Department at the United Arab Emirates University is seeking a post-doc fellow in the area of materials science, particularly gas sensor materials. The post-doc fellow should be knowledgeable of metal-oxide based gas sensor materials. The candidate should be able to synthesize, characterize and test gas sensors to detect toxic gases. The preferred candidate should have demonstrated experience both in Chemistry and Materials Science and have a PhD degree in relevant field.

Minimum Qualification
An appropriate educational degree supplemented with documented evidence to support the following:
- Skilled in gas sensor synthesis and characterization.
- Ability to test gas sensors
- Good technical writing/Research proposal writing skills
- Flexible approach and initiative in executing the role.
- Command of metal-oxide based gas sensors
- Command of materials characterization techniques
- Demonstrable willingness to support work in the lab
- Be adaptable and flexible to the continuous changes associated with research demands
- Commitment to provide a safe and healthy workplace
