Position Overview

New York University Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Research Assistant role within the Arts and Humanities division as part of its newly launched Research Kitchens initiative. This role supports interdisciplinary research and collaboration across multiple thematic research spaces and offers an opportunity to work closely with faculty and researchers for up to three years in Abu Dhabi.

• Support interdisciplinary research activities across the four Research Kitchens themes:
  Heritage, Memory, and Mobility;
  The Anthropocene:
  Urbanism, the Environment, and Sustainability;
  Human Rights in and for the 21st Century; and Research in Writing, Languages, and Pedagogy.
• Assist in carrying out a wide range of research activities, including artistic and creative research initiatives.
• Support the design, coordination, management, and reporting of multiple interdisciplinary research projects.
• Contribute to building and maintaining relationships with research partners, funders, and research sites.
• Assist in organizing and delivering seminars, workshops, working groups, and other academic programming.
• Support proposal and grant writing, progress reporting, and research documentation.
• Assist in disseminating research outputs, including preparation of manuscripts, presentations, and related materials.

• Bachelor's Degree or Master of Arts in a relevant field.
• Strong interest and foundational knowledge in arts and humanities research.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with faculty members, researchers, staff, and external stakeholders.
