Position Overview
New York University Abu Dhabi is recruiting a Junior Research Scientist to support clinical and translational neuroscience research at the Center for Brain and Health in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This Higher Education research role focuses on coordinating human-subjects studies integrating neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioral methods to advance brain health research across diverse populations in the UAE and MENA region.

- Coordinate daily execution of clinical and observational human-subject research studies
- Manage participant recruitment including pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up
- Maintain regulatory documentation, ethics submissions, and compliance records
- Liaise with clinical partners and imaging facilities to ensure smooth study workflows
- Oversee clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, MEG, and related neuromonitoring sessions
- Develop and update standard operating procedures for research protocols
- Support training of research assistants and student team members
- Track recruitment targets, study milestones, and reporting metrics
- Assist in preparing grant applications, research proposals, and progress reports
- Ensure participant safety and adherence to institutional and national research regulations
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or related discipline
- Master's degree or clinical qualification preferred
- Two to three years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials
- Familiarity with ethical and regulatory standards for clinical research
- Experience working with patient populations or in neuroimaging environments is advantageous
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Fluency in English;
Arabic language skills are an asset - Ability to work within a multidisciplinary academic and clinical research team
