Junior Research Scientist Division of Science; Biology - Dr. Youssef Idaghdour

The Environmental Genomics Laboratory in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi is seeking a Junior Research Scientist to investigate the genetic and environmental factors that modulate the human immune response during lifestyle transitions in Mongolia.

• Implement and execute fieldwork protocols in Mongolia, including biological sample and data collection.
• Conduct laboratory multi‑omics experiments and perform computational analyses using statistical genetics.
• Maintain laboratory safety and data security protocols.
• Provide direct supervision and mentorship to undergraduate students, research assistants, and visiting scholars.

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology.
• Hands‑on experience in field‑based and multi‑omics research within resource‑limited settings.
• Demonstrated experience in multi‑omics data generation and analysis.
• Track record of publication(s) directly related to the topic of the study.
• Experience coordinating international field research and familiarity with research in Mongolia are assets.
• Ability to perform statistical genetics analyses.
