Post-Doctoral Associate Division Science; Biology - Dr. Kenichiro Kamei
Position Overview
The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory within the Divisions of Science and Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position that advances the frontiers of developmental biology and disease modeling. The laboratory integrates stem-cell biology, fluorescence imaging, bioinformatics, and advanced nano- and micro-engineering to decode organogenesis and early embryogenesis, translating these insights into regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and precision therapeutics.
Responsibilities- Design and fabricate nano- and micro-engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells.
- Investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing development and pathology.
- Lead experiments from conception through publication in high-impact journals.
- Mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers.
- Contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Ph.D. in science, engineering, or a closely related field awarded before the start date.
- Within the first five years post-receiving a Ph.D.
- Expertise in device design and fabrication, stem-cell culture and differentiation, high-resolution imaging, single-cell or bulk omics, or bioinformatics.
- Strong publication record.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
