Position Overview
The Kamei Reverse Bioengineering Laboratory within the Divisions of Science and Engineering at NYU Abu Dhabi invites applications for a Post-Doctoral Associate position that advances the frontiers of developmental biology and disease modeling. The laboratory integrates stem-cell biology, fluorescence imaging, bioinformatics, and advanced nano- and micro-engineering to decode organogenesis and early embryogenesis, translating these insights into regenerative medicine, drug discovery, and precision therapeutics.
ResponsibilitiesThe appointed fellow will design and fabricate nano- and micro-engineered platforms that interface with human stem cells, investigate cellular and molecular mechanisms governing development and pathology, lead experiments from conception through publication in high‑impact journals, mentor graduate and undergraduate researchers, and contribute to grant writing and interdisciplinary collaborations.
Qualifications- Ph.D. in science, engineering, or a closely related field awarded before the start date and within the first five years post‑receiving a PhD.
- Expertise in device design and fabrication, stem‑cell culture and differentiation, high‑resolution imaging, single‑cell or bulk omics, or bioinformatics.
- Strong publication record.
