Job DescriptionSorbonne University Abu Dhabi is pleased to announce the opening of the position of Director of Research.
Reporting to the Vice-Chancellor, the Director of Research provides strategic and operational leadership for the University’s research enterprise. The Director develops and implements the institutional research strategy, strengthens the University’s research capacity and funding base, oversees research governance, ethics and integrity, and represents the University with funders, government entities, industry and academic partners, including Sorbonne Université. The role is benchmarked against the organisation and best practices of the research offices of the world’s leading research universities.
The Director chairs the University’s Research Council and provides direction and strategic steering to the University’s laboratories and institutes (SAFIR, SCAI, Ocean Institute).
