The Dubai Media Council is the government authority responsible for regulating and developing Dubai’s media sector, strengthening the emirate’s position as a leading regional and global media hub through progressive policies, innovation, and talent development.
Dubai Media Council is seeking a Specialist – Media Strategy & Policy Development to support strategic research, policy development, regulatory analysis, and performance monitoring initiatives aimed at advancing Dubai's media and gaming sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct research and analysis on local and international media and gaming industry trends, market developments, and emerging opportunities.
Support the development and implementation of media sector strategies, policies, regulatory frameworks, and strategic initiatives.
Analyze existing policies, regulations, and governance practices to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement.
Conduct international benchmarking studies and comparative assessments of media policies, regulatory frameworks, and industry best practices.
Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and prepare research findings to support policy recommendations.
Support strategic planning activities, including environmental scanning, data collection, and analysis of industry developments.
Track the implementation of strategic initiatives, key performance indicators (KPIs), and milestones, identifying potential challenges and risks.
Prepare research reports, policy briefs, benchmarking studies, presentations, and analytical summaries for management and stakeholders.
Coordinate with internal departments, government entities, and industry stakeholders to collect information and support strategy and policy initiatives.
Assist in organizing stakeholder consultations, workshops, and meetings to support policy development and strategic alignment.
Maintain accurate documentation, research records, and performance reports to support effective monitoring and decision-making.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Policy, International Relations, Media, Public Administration, or a related field.
Advantegous:
Professional training or certifications in strategic planning, policy research, regulatory analysis, governance, project management, business analysis, or research methodologies.
Experience:
5 years of relevant professional experience in strategy, policy development, governance, or related fields.
Experience in research, strategic analysis, reporting, benchmarking, or policy-related activities.
Preferred:
Previous exposure to the media industry, government sector, public policy, or regulatory environments.
Knowledge and
Skills:
Strong strategic research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of policy analysis, regulatory research.
Ability to conduct benchmarking studies, and summarize research findings.
Experience supporting strategy implementation, KPI monitoring, and performance reporting.
Report writing, presentation development, and stakeholder coordination skills.
Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic and English.
Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams, government entities, and external stakeholders.
