Key Responsibilities
The role is broadly divided into technical coffee mastery, team leadership, and business operations.
Coffee Quality Dial-in espresso daily, calibrate grinders, maintain "Golden Cup" standards, and perform regular quality audits (cuppings).
Staff Training Onboard new baristas, mentor the team on latte art and brewing techniques, and conduct performance reviews.
Operations Manage inventory (beans, milk, supplies), place orders, and manage staff shift schedules.
Maintenance Oversee daily and deep‑cleaning schedules for espresso machines and grinders; troubleshoot or report equipment issues.
Customer Experience Handle customer complaints professionally, educate guests on coffee origins, and innovate seasonal menu items.
Financials Sometimes responsible for till management, closing procedures, and tracking wastage/sales to improve profitability.
Skills- Advanced Brewing: Expert‑level skill in espresso extraction, manual brewing methods (pour‑over, Aeropress, etc.), and perfecting milk texturing for latte art.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ability to calibrate, clean, and perform troubleshooting/repairs on grinders and espresso machines.
- Quality Control: Tasting, or "cupping," coffee regularly to ensure it meets flavor standards.
- Menu Development: Designing new signature drinks and updating the coffee menu.
