C2i - Steward - Dhaba kitchen

Dhaba began by the warmth of Chef Enayatullah Safi's grandmother's tandoor in Afghanistan. His journey carried him through the streets of India, which gave Dhaba its soul, and into the kitchens of Copenhagen, where he learned precision and respect for every ingredient. Now, in Abu Dhabi, all of those chapters come together at one table.

A great kitchen runs on the people behind the scenes. We are looking for hardworking, reliable Kitchen Stewards to join our pre-opening team and keep the heart of Dhaba clean, safe and ready for every service.

Reporting to the Sous Chef and Head Chef, you will make sure our kitchen, equipment and dishware are spotless and ready, so our chefs can focus on creating great food.

Key responsibilities:

• Wash, sanitise and store all dishes, glassware, cutlery, pots and pans
• Operate and maintain the dishwashing machine safely and efficiently
• Clean kitchen floors, walls, work surfaces, equipment and storage areas
• Keep chefs supplied with clean utensils and equipment throughout service
• Remove waste and recycling, following correct disposal procedures
• Help receive, check and store deliveries when needed
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and according to instructions
• Follow HACCP, hygiene and safety standards at all times
• Report any equipment issues or breakages to the Sous Chef

• At least 1 year of experience as a Kitchen Steward or Dishwasher in a restaurant or hotel
• Basic knowledge of hygiene, sanitation and chemical safety
• Basic spoken English
• A strong work ethic, reliability and attention to cleanliness
• A team player who stays organised in a fast-paced kitchen
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
