We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Sommelier to join the opening team Junior Sommelier will support wine service, maintain the wine programme and guide guests through selections that complement ISOLA's Italian menu.
Key Responsibilities- Present wine lists and recommend wines based on guest preferences and menu choices.
- Serve and decant wines according to professional standards.
- Support wine-cellar organization, stock counts and correct storage conditions.
- Assist with receiving, labelling and rotating wine inventory.
- Maintain accurate knowledge of the wine list, vintages and availability.
- Support team training and wine-pairing awareness.
- Promote responsible service and support beverage sales targets.
- At least 1-2 years of wine-service experience in an upscale restaurant.
- WSET Level 1 is required; WSET Level 2 is strongly preferred.
- Good knowledge of Italian and international wines.
- Confident communication, presentation and sales skills.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in an additional language is a strong advantage.
