As a Supermarket Helper, you are expected to assist in various areas, maintaining the store's cleanliness, and providing exceptional service to all customers. Your role is critical in creating a welcoming atmosphere that enhances the shopping experience for all customers. As a valued team member, you will be instrumental in maintaining the supermarket's reputation for excellence and ensuring operational efficiency.
- Assist customers in locating desired products and answering their queries.
- Ensure shelves are fully stocked, neatly arranged, and correctly labeled.
- Maintain store cleanliness and conduct regular cleaning of aisles and shelves.
- Support the checkout process by bagging groceries and assisting cashiers when needed.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
- Help in unloading and organizing incoming deliveries and store orders correctly.
- Operate supermarket equipment safely and report any malfunctions immediately.
- Provide assistance in merchandising and setting up promotional displays effectively.
- Ensure all products on shelves meet the quality standards and are within date.
- Guide customers on store navigation, promotions, and product locations.
- Coordinate with team members to enhance the overall customer shopping experience.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and company policies while performing duties.
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred for this position.
- Previous retail or customer service experience is advantageous for the role.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Attention to detail with a focus on maintaining store appearance and orderliness.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team setting.
