Job Description
A Merchandiser plays a crucial role in the supply chain and retail industries by ensuring that products are displayed effectively in stores. Merchandisers are responsible for the arrangement of products, promotion of merchandise, and assessing the success of marketing strategies. They work closely with suppliers, retailers, and other stakeholders to optimize product placement and ensure that inventory levels are met. A successful Merchandiser must be proactive, innovative, and detail‑oriented to stay ahead in the competitive retail landscape.

- Create attractive and informational product displays to enhance customer engagement.
- Implement promotional campaigns and evaluate their effectiveness in boosting sales.
- Manage product pricing strategies to remain competitive within the market.
- Conduct regular audits and present reports on merchandising performance to management.
- Identify market trends and propose new merchandising solutions to drive innovation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and retail standards in all merchandising activities.
- Train and mentor junior staff to enhance team performance and productivity.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Proven experience in merchandising or a similar retail role is required.
- Strong analytical skills to assess sales data and market trends effectively.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills to engage with stakeholders.
- Creative mindset with an eye for detail and visual creativity in displays.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Effective time management skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
