Head of Retail Strategy
Responsibilities
Reporting to the VP Direct Sales, the Head of Retail Strategy is responsible for the development and execution of the global Retail Business strategy, which underpins the transformation of the Retail business unit to the future mode of operating Retail to complement the business.
- Develop the retail touch and feel
- Customer insights on retail shopping habits
- Direct the retail POS system strategy (software upgrades, peripheral hardware management, communications and field integration), ensuring system productivity is maximized and continuously improved upon.
- Lead the Retail Business strategy in regards to positioning of retail businesses across high street, mall location etc. Ensuring the right Retail offering to meet location requirements and the right Etihad brand fit for such purpose.
- Use and enhance a strong knowledge of the latest Technology trends to build the infrastructure and share real results
In summary, the Head of Retail Strategy is a senior retail role and have experience working closely with executive level. A proven ability to think strategically and proactively, lead projects across various departments, track and report within agreed KPIs. Experience in managing and leading teams across multiple locations is essential. Finally a strong leadership skills, with extensive people management experience at senior level and a track record of delivering significant process improvements and technology c.
Qualifications- Degree educated, MBA preferred
- Managed circa $30M P&L
- At least 15 years airline/travel/retail experience. Of which, five to seven years of experience in a leadership role, at least four years of experience in a senior retail role and at least two years of experience working with sales technology.
- Comfortable to live and work in Abu Dhabi
- Track record in working closely with executive level, influencing decisions
- A proven ability to work in a large multinational company, which has a multicultural environment.
- Strong leadership skills, with extensive people management experience at senior level. Track record of delivering significant process improvements and technology change.
