Job Description:
The Store and Purchase Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring efficient store operations and effective procurement processes within an organization. This role involves assisting in the management of inventory, facilitating purchases, and maintaining optimal stock levels in line with organizational needs. The Store and Purchase Assistant works closely with the purchasing manager and other team members to ensure that the store functions smoothly and that supplies are procured timely and cost-effectively.

- Assist in managing and organizing inventory to ensure smooth store operations.
- Support the purchase manager in planning and executing procurement processes.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report on inventory status and needs.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products and materials.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and provide reports as required.
- Work with accounting to process and verify purchase orders and invoices.
- Research potential suppliers and assist in evaluating supplier performance.
- Assist in negotiating purchase agreements and terms with vendors.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all purchasing activities.
- Resolve issues related to deliveries, defects, and returns with vendors.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of store procedures and policies.
- Assist in store layout management to optimize space and operational efficiency.
- Previous experience in store operations or purchasing is highly preferable.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to handle various store tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with suppliers and teams.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reports.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with purchase order software.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to manage procurement challenges.
- Knowledge of store management best practices and procurement processes.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Strong analytical skills to assess inventory needs and purchasing trends.
