The Senior Officer Security Operations is responsible for the effective execution of day-to-day security operations across assigned sites and shifts in accordance with AD Ports Group and Nishan security requirements, approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), post orders and regulatory obligations. The role focuses on frontline operational control, supervision on shift, incident response, access control, patrols and compliance monitoring to ensure a safe and secure operating environment.
The Senior Officer acts as the primary operational lead on site during assigned shifts, ensuring incidents, observations and security activities are managed, recorded and escalated accurately and within defined time frames. This role supports the Supervisor Security Operations by maintaining operational discipline and ensuring contracted security personnel comply with post orders and regulatory requirements, including ISPS and national security mandates and contributing to audits, drills, inspections and security assessments.
The position requires flexibility to support 24/7 operations on a rotational shift basis.
- High school or Diploma
- Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related field is preferable
- Familiarity with security operations
- ISPS knowledge and national security requirements
- Very Good Arabic – Speak, Read and Write
- Very Good English – Speak, Read and Write
- Minimum 0–1 Years of experience in the same or similar role
- Experience in security operations, monitoring and incident handling
- Coordination with internal departments and external authorities
- Managing security guards and shift operations
- Ability to handle crisis situations and operational risks
- Investigation and reporting of security incidents
- Act as the on-site senior authority during shifts, providing functional direction and guidance to security officers and contracted security personnel
- Ensure effective access control, perimeter security, patrols and monitoring of designated areas
- Respond to security incidents, alarms and emergencies, initiating immediate action and escalating to the Supervisor and UCC as required
- Ensure all incidents, observations and operational activities are accurately recorded and reported within defined timelines
- Conduct routine patrols, inspections and checks to identify security risks, vulnerabilities or non-compliance
- Support implementation of Security Plans, Security Assessments and Group Security Action Plans at site level
- Coordinate with UCC, operations teams, emergency responders and authorities during incidents and drills
- Participate in security drills and exercises and support post-exercise reviews and corrective actions
- Ensure proper shift handover, including clear communication of incidents, risks and outstanding tasks
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of all security-related information
- Ensure compliance with ISPS Code, AD Ports Group security policies and applicable national security regulations
- Support audits, inspections and compliance checks, ensuring timely closure of assigned corrective actions
- Immediately report any serious security breaches, violations or high risk observations to the Supervisor
