General Superintendent - Security; UAE Nationals
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Implements approved departmental policies, systems, processes, procedures and controls covering all areas of the Security department so that all relevant procedural and legislative requirements are adhered to while delivering a quality, cost‑effective service in a consistent manner.
Day‑to‑Day OperationsSupervises the implementation of the day‑to‑day operations assigned for the Security department to ensure they comply with established policies, processes and procedures.
Investigation & ReportingSupervises the effective implementation of the incident investigation process and undertakes as necessary investigations and reporting of Security incidents where required in conjunction with appropriate agencies in a timely and correct manner and makes recommendations based on the outcomes of such incidents.
Training & EmbedmentPlans, organises and conducts a wide range of Security training courses for all levels within the organisation to promote Security awareness and reduce the number and severity of Security incidents.
Maintenance, Testing & InspectionControls and coordinates all maintenance and testing of Security protection systems throughout the plant to ensure their operational readiness. Develops and initiates routine evaluations of the workplace as required, advising on all aspects of Security precautions to identify any areas of non‑conformance with local regulatory requirements and internationally accepted standards and recommends solutions to ensure compliance.
Safety, Quality & EnvironmentComplies with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
People ManagementSupervises the activities and work of subordinates by providing formal and informal feedback to ensure that all work within the Security department is carried out efficiently and in accordance with company policies, procedures and individual performance targets.

Authority & Decision MakingGuidelines:

Direction of work is subject to established practices and procedures and output is managed accordingly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or an equivalent qualification, or at least 10 years of relevant experience. Preferably accredited by, or holding membership in, a recognised professional association.
- Minimum Experience:
4–6 years of relevant experience in EHSFS within a similar manufacturing industry, including at least 2 years in positions with progressively increasing managerial responsibilities. - Skills:
Preferably bilingual in Arabic and English. Certified Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO). Knowledgeable in the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, Physical Information Security, Electronic Security Access Control Systems, CCTV Security Systems, burglar alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, and fire systems. - Experience in administering a department, preferably within a multi‑national team environment.
- Proficiency in SAP applications and computer applications.
