Job Description / Role:The Security Officer is responsible for protecting company premises, employees, visitors, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. The role involves patrolling the site, monitoring access points, observing CCTV, reporting incidents, and responding promptly to emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:- Patrol assigned areas regularly to maintain security and detect suspicious activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and access points to control entry and exit of people, vehicles, and materials.
- Check identification, verify authorizations, and ensure only permitted persons enter restricted areas.
- Observe CCTV and security systems, and report alarms, breaches, or unusual behavior.
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and disturbances in a calm and professional manner.
- Prepare daily security logs, incident reports, and handover notes.
- Report theft, vandalism, trespassing, safety hazards, and policy violations immediately.
- Assist emergency services when required and follow company emergency procedures.
- Ensure doors, gates, windows, and sensitive areas are secured during and after shifts.
- Support loss prevention and safety compliance across the premises.
Required:
- Previous experience in security, guarding, or a related field is preferred.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vigilance and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to handle difficult situations professionally.
- Physical fitness and stamina for patrol duties.
- Basic computer skills for reporting and logging.
- Customer service and conflict resolution skills.
