• Install and repair electrical wires, apparatus, and fixtures in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities. This includes everything from basic wiring to complex systems like fire alarms and elevators.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical systems to ensure they are in good working order and comply with hotel standards and local codes.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults to minimize disruption to hotel operations and ensure guest and staff safety.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies, such as power outages, and assist with emergency power systems like generators.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.

• High school diploma or equivalent is the minimum, with technical diplomas or trade school completion preferred.
• Proven experience as an electrician, with a preference for those who have worked in commercial or hospitality environments. A minimum of 1-2 years of experience is often preferred.
• Strong understanding of various hotel electrical systems, including lighting, HVAC controls, fire alarms, security systems, and power distribution.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify and fix electrical issues.
• Proficiency with electrical tools and testing equipment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected electrical issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with other departments and staff.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, to minimize disruption to guests.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, standing for long periods, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.
• Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for safety and accuracy.
