Job Summary

The Technician is responsible for carrying out inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and workshop procedures. The Technician ensures that vehicles are serviced efficiently, safely, and to the satisfaction of customers.

Vehicle Diagnosis and Repair

• Perform routine servicing, mechanical repairs, and diagnostics on various vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, suspension, etc.).
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify faults and carry out necessary repairs.

Maintenance Tasks

• Conduct scheduled maintenance checks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations.
• Inspect vehicle systems and components to ensure reliability and performance.

Work Order Execution

• Review job cards and follow service instructions provided by the service advisor or workshop supervisor.
• Complete assigned tasks within time and quality guidelines.

Tool and Equipment Handling

• Use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and diagnostic machines safely and correctly.
• Maintain tools and ensure they are clean and functional.

Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to workshop safety standards and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Ensure work practices comply with manufacturer and local regulations.

Record Keeping and Documentation

• Record parts used, work performed, and time spent on job cards or digital systems.
• Report additional faults or recommended services to supervisors.

Team Collaboration

• Work closely with other technicians, service advisors, and parts personnel.
• Attend technical training and stay updated on vehicle technologies.

Customer Satisfaction

• Ensure high-quality work is delivered to prevent repeat repairs and enhance customer trust.
• Occasionally assist in explaining repairs or maintenance done, if required.

To be a successful EV & Mechanical Technician
, you should have strong technical expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both electric and conventional vehicles. You must be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and able to deliver high-quality work efficiently in a fast-paced workshop environment.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

Qualifications, Certifications & Experience (Mandatory & Preferred)

• Skilled with a minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience as an automotive technician
• Manufacturer training or certification in EV systems or mechanical repairs is a plus
• Valid UAE driving license (as applicable)

Skills & Competencies (Technical, Behavioral, and Soft)
Technical Skills

• Proficient in using diagnostic tools and workshop equipment
• Strong understanding of EV systems, high-voltage components, and safety procedures
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Ability to read technical manuals, repair diagrams, and service bulletins
• Familiarity with vehicle service software and documentation systems
