Fiber Installation Technician

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Fiber Installation Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fiber optic systems to ensure reliable high-speed internet and communication services. You will work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments, providing top-quality service and customer satisfaction.

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables (FTTH, FTTP, FTTB, etc.)
• Test and troubleshoot fiber networks using OTDRs, power meters, and other diagnostic equipment
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Splice fiber optic cables and enclosures in aerial and underground settings
• Ensure all installations meet industry standards and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with customers, team members, and supervisors
• Maintain accurate documentation of installation, testing, and repair activities
• Provide technical support during service outages or system upgrades

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in telecommunications or related field preferred
• 13 years of experience in fiber optic installation or similar role
• Familiarity with fiber optic tools and equipment (fusion splicer, OTDR, etc.)
• Strong understanding of networking principles and fiber technology
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry equipment, work in confined spaces, and at heights
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills

• Certifications such as FOA CFOT or equivalent
• Experience with aerial or underground fiber deployments
• Knowledge of local / state regulations related to telecom installation
