HVAC Technician, Facility Management
Job Description Why This Role Matters
Experienced facilities maintenance professional responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, pumps, and related equipment. Skilled in conducting routine inspections, responding swiftly to breakdowns, diagnosing faults, and performing repairs or coordinating with specialized contractors when required. Actively involved in the installation and commissioning of new systems, ensuring full compliance with safety standards, codes, and company policies.
Supports daily facility operations such as lighting, water supply, and waste management, while monitoring building management systems and energy consumption to optimize performance. Known for strong customer service skills, maintaining professional communication with clients and stakeholders, and providing timely updates and effective resolution of maintenance issues.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems. (Including Chillers, AHU, FCU, Pumps etc...)
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and service requests, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or escalation to specialized contractors when necessary.
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and systems.
- Ensure all work complies with relevant safety standards, codes, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and safety checks.
- Support day-to-day operations of the facility, including lighting, water supply, and waste management.
- Monitor building automation systems and energy usage to optimize performance.
- Interact professionally with clients, tenants, and other stakeholders.
- Provide timely updates and feedback on maintenance issues and resolutions.
- Diploma or Technical Certificate in HVAC, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in facilities maintenance or a similar technical role.
- Experience in school or educational facility environments is a plus.
