JAVA Developer – Orkes Conductor (or Netflix Conductor)

We have an urgent requirement for a JAVA developer–Orkes Conductor (or Netflix Conductor) for a leading bank in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Experience in Java application support or development is required. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using Java 8 or above / Spring Boot with hands‑on experience in Orkes‑Conductor (or Netflix Conductor). Responsibilities include integrating with RESTful APIs, providing L2/L3 support for Java microservices and Conductor workflows, and using CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git Lab, or Git Hub Actions.

Minimum qualification:

A 1.5‑hour online JavaScript test on Gorilla is mandatory; please apply only if you can commit to taking this test.

We are looking for a skilled Java Developer with hands‑on experience in Orkes Conductor (or Netflix Conductor) to help us build and maintain scalable, reliable workflow orchestration systems. The role involves backend services, integrating microservices, and developing complex workflows that automate business processes, as well as maintaining system stability and supporting development teams.

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java/Spring Boot.
• Create, manage, and optimize workflows using Orkes Conductor.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and external services.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including Dev Ops, QA, and Product.
• Write unit, integration, and system tests.
• Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and reliability.
• Provide L2/L3 support for Java microservices and Conductor workflows.
• Monitor system health, performance, and logs; set up alerts and dashboards.
• Troubleshoot workflow failures, investigate root causes, and provide fixes or workarounds.
• Collaborate with Dev Ops/SRE teams for deployment and scaling strategies.
• Participate in on‑call rotations to ensure high system availability.

• Strong programming experience in Java (Java 8 or higher).
• Experience with Orkes Conductor or Netflix Conductor.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of REST APIs, and message queues such as Kafka and Rabbit
  
  MQ.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git Lab, or Git Hub Actions.
• Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools.
• Basic knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Good communication and coordination abilities.
