Oracle APEX Developer in Abu Dhabi. The role supportsdigital transformationinitiatives by enhancing public-sector systems and improving service efficiency and accessibility.
The customer is a public-sector organization responsible for advancing digital innovation and modernizing services across multiple domains. It supports strategic initiatives in emerging technologies, collaborates with industry and research partners, and develops long-term technology frameworks for improving operational efficiency and service accessibility. The organization focuses on secure, scalable, and sustainable digital development to drive continuous improvement within the broader ecosystem.
The project focuses on digital transformation in the UAE to develop and support digital solutions, enhance social services, strengthen public engagement, advance international relations, and optimize administrative processes.
Responsibilities- Providing technical support during implementation, upgrade, and maintenance of Oracle Applications.
- Collaborating with departments, IT teams, and consultants.
- Designing, developing, and optimizing applications using Oracle APEX.
- Integrating Oracle APEX solutions with existing Oracle ERP and databases.
- Implementing security controls, performance tuning, and system enhancements.
- Providing ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for Oracle APEX applications.
- Developing and maintaining APEX interactive reports, dashboards, and custom UI components.
- Creating and optimizing PL/SQL procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Automating data processing and workflow using Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and web services (SOAP/REST).
- Managing APEX version control, deployments, and application lifecycle.
- Ensuring data integrity and security within Oracle APEX applications.
- Performing unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of APEX applications and PL/SQL code.
- Working with APEX themes, templates, and dynamic actions to enhance user experience.
- Documenting technical specifications, architecture, and best practices.
- Staying up-to-date with Oracle APEX new features and industry best practices.

Skills Must-have- Experience with Oracle development for 4+ years.
- Strong SQL and PL/SQL programming skills.
- Experience in developing low‑code applications using Oracle APEX (v19+ preferred).
- Knowledge of Oracle Database (12c/19c+), including database design and indexing.
- Proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, and AJAX for frontend customizations.
- Experience with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) for API integrations.
- Ability to perform performance tuning and optimization in APEX applications.
- Experience with role‑based security, authentication, and authorization in APEX.
- Familiarity with APEX plugins, dynamic actions, and declarative development.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
- Understanding of Oracle ERP (EBS, Fusion) or other enterprise applications.
- Experience with source control tools (Git, SVN) and CI/CD pipelines.
