Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (.NET) in Abu Dhabi for a project building secure, scalable management platforms and supporting digital transformation initiatives.
The customer is a large public-sector organization operating at the federal level, responsible for supporting executive decision-making, coordinating strategic initiatives, and overseeing nationwide programs. The organization plays a key role in shaping long-term development priorities and collaborates with multiple government entities and international partners. It invests in digital transformation, data-driven solutions, and advanced technologies to modernize processes, improve efficiency, and build scalable, secure platforms for mission-critical services.
The project is focused on designing and implementing a secure, scalable, and bilingual management system for planning, administration, and reporting processes. It includes developing an on-premise platform with mobile-responsive functionality and seamless integration into the customer’s existing infrastructure and IT landscape.
Technology stack: C#, .NET (ASP.NET Core), REST APIs, OIDC / OAuth2 / JWT, RBAC, Oracle DB, ORM frameworks, CI/CD.
Responsibilities- Implementing business logic for trip management, reporting, and accessing workflows.
- Delivering backend features according to approved architecture and security guidelines.
- Integrating and validating external services (identity, messaging, maps, internal APIs).
- Participating in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical refinements.
- Investigating and resolving performance, security, and production issues.
- Contributing to documentation (API specs, technical notes, handover materials).
- Supporting UAT, production releases, and post-launch stabilization.
- Collaborating closely with QA, frontend, and Dev Ops to ensure end-to-end delivery.
- Experience in software engineering roles for 5+ years.
- Strong experience with C# and .NET (ASP.NET Core) in enterprise systems.
- Hands-on experience building secure REST APIs.
- Solid knowledge of authentication & authorization (OIDC / OAuth2 / JWT, RBAC).
- Experience working with Oracle DB and ORM frameworks.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and regulated / high-security environments.
- Experience with on-prem infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to write unit and integration tests for backend services.
- Experience integrating with external identity or government systems (e.g., IdP, SSO, MFA).
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
