Vice President of Engineering

Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English is essential for this role, along with iGaming industry experience

We are partnering with a fast-growing iGaming company that is expanding its engineering organization as it continues to scale its portfolio of online casino and gaming products. With a strong product roadmap and ambitious growth plans, the business is looking for an experienced Vice President of Engineering to help shape the next phase of its technical evolution.

This is a unique opportunity to join a high‑growth organisation at a pivotal stage, working closely with executive leadership to build scalable technology, develop high‑performing engineering teams, and deliver world‑class gaming experiences to players.

As Vice President of Engineering, you will be responsible for leading the engineering function while remaining close to the technology. This is a hands‑on leadership position suited to someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, mentoring engineering teams, and contributing to architectural decisions whilst driving engineering excellence. You will work closely with Product, Design, QA, Dev Ops, and Executive Leadership to ensure the delivery of scalable, high‑performance gaming platforms.

• Lead, mentor, and grow a high‑performing engineering organisation. Build an engineering culture centred around quality, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Help define the long‑term engineering strategy in line with the company’s business objectives.
• Remain actively involved in software architecture and technical decision‑making.
• Review system designs, architecture proposals, and code where appropriate.
• Guide engineering teams on best practices, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
• Drive adoption of modern engineering standards and development processes.
• Strong commercial experience with Java, Kotlin, distributed systems, microservices architecture, cloud platforms and more.

• Fluent Mandarin Chinese (spoken and written) is essential.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
