QA Automation Engineer; Web & API Automation

We have an urgent requirement for QA Automation Engineer (Web & API Automation) for our banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright (Type Script / JavaScript) is MUST.

AI/ML-based test analytics is MUST.

API automation suites (REST / GraphQL) is MUST.

Test APIs using Postman or SoapUI is MUST.

Experience in Banking, Fintech Is MUST.

We’re seeking a hands‑on QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Playwright (Type Script / JavaScript) and API automation using tools like Rest Assured, Playwright, or Pytest, and programming proficiency in JavaScript / Type Script, Java, or Python.

The ideal candidate will also have strong experience in framework design, performance, security, and AI-driven testing, collaborating closely with Product, Development, Dev Ops, SRE, and Business teams to deliver intelligent, scalable digital solutions.

• Design and develop automation frameworks from scratch using Playwright, Rest Assured, or Pytest.
• Build comprehensive API automation suites (REST / GraphQL) with schema validation and reusable components.
• Implement AI-driven testing features such as self-healing locators, intelligent test generation, and predictive defect analytics.
• Conduct performance testing using K6, Gatling, or JMeter, identifying bottlenecks and recommending optimizations.
• Partner with Dev Sec Ops  and SRE to embed security and resilience checks within CI/CD pipelines.
• Execute automation tests on cloud platforms (Browser Stack / Lambda Test) for cross-browser validation.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (Git Hub Actions, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops) to enable continuous validation.
• Collaborate with Product, Dev, Dev Ops, and Business teams to define test strategies, quality gates, and acceptance criteria.
• Generate detailed test dashboards and analytics reports for visibility and decision-making.

• Minimum 5+ years of QA Automation experience with focus on Web & API automation.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Playwright, Rest Assured, or Pytest for Web and API automation.
• Programming proficiency in JavaScript / Type Script, Java, or Python.
• Should know how to test APIs using Postman or SoapUI for functional and quick validations.
• Proven experience in designing and developing automation frameworks from scratch.
• Solid understanding of API testing, JSON schema validation, and service mocking.
• Exposure to AI-powered or self‑healing automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in performance testing (K6 / Gatling / JMeter).
• Knowledge of application security testing and OWASP Top 10.
• Familiarity with cloud execution farms (Browser Stack / Lambda Test).
• Expertise in CI/CD integration and Dockerized environments.

• Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in banking, fintech, or digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with AI/ML-based test analytics and quality insights.
• Experience in analysing logs and metrics to identify root causes and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication and cross‑team collaboration skills.
• Self‑driven and ownership-oriented, able to work independently with minimal supervision.
