Role OverviewIn this role, you'll lead the integration and deployment of our robotic vehicle platform, combining deep technical expertise with team leadership. You'll own platform reliability, sensor integration strategy, system architecture, and team capability development.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of integration engineers; establish standards, processes, and best practices
- Design and execute integration testing, validation, and field deployment strategies
- Develop sensor drivers and integration solutions for Ethernet/CAN-based devices; manage calibration and data quality
- Lead platform bring-up and system integration campaigns from hardware validation through field readiness
- Establish and manage containerized development environments, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation
- Drive technical investigations and troubleshooting for complex integration issues; conduct code/design reviews
- Collaborate cross-functionally with hardware, firmware, autonomy, and manufacturing teams on integration strategy
- 5-7+ years professional experience in robotics, autonomous systems, or complex hardware-software integration
- Strong Linux expertise with kernel, driver, and system administration knowledge
- Advanced C++ and/or Python programming with software engineering best practices
- Expert-level hardware-software integration troubleshooting and systematic debugging
- Deep knowledge of networking, CAN communication, and timing concepts (PTP, ROS time sync)
- Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD systems, and automated deployment workflows
- Demonstrated team leadership experience with mentoring and technical guidance
- Systems-level thinking across the full robotics stack (drivers to high-level autonomy integration)
- Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- ROS2 or similar robotic middleware experience
- Exposure to robotic sensors (LiDAR, cameras, GNSS, IMU)
- Automotive or transportation systems standards
- System performance profiling and optimization
- Safety-critical systems and failure analysis
- Agile/scrum experience in robotics or autonomous systems
- Track record of building or scaling engineering teams
