QA Engineer
- 12 month extendable contract
- Abu Dhabi | Office Based
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Engineer to join a dynamic technology team focused on delivering high-quality software solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality through a combination of manual and automated testing practices, working closely with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will have strong experience in test automation, API testing, performance testing, and Agile delivery environments, with a passion for driving quality and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance testing to validate software quality and reliability.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts using modern automation frameworks, including Playwright.
- Conduct API testing and validation using tools such as Postman.
- Execute performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter, k6, or similar solutions.
- Analyze test results, identify defects and root causes, and collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Work alongside developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage and early defect detection.
- Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, frameworks, tools, and quality standards.
- Contribute to a culture of quality, collaboration, and continuous learning within the QA team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, Software Testing, or QA Automation roles.
- Proven hands-on experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, and Cypress.
- Strong experience in API testing using Postman or equivalent tools.
- Experience performing performance and load testing using JMeter, k6, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test case design, and defect lifecycle management. - Experience working within Agile Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
