Company: Tektora, supporting an established defence technology client
Tektora are supporting an established defence technology client building radio frequency products in Abu Dhabi, and are looking to speak with experienced C++ engineers for their R&D team.
This role is open to relocation. The client is actively considering candidates from outside the UAE and will support the move for the right person.
This role would suit a systems-level C++ engineer who wants to be close to the hardware — real-time, multi-threaded software driving RF applications, taken from design through bring-up to a verified product.
The Role You Will Be Involved In- Designing, developing, optimising and integrating software for radio frequency applications
- Working across the product development lifecycle — inception and design, bring-up, optimisation and verification
- Implementing algorithms handed over from the domain specialists
- Designing and building tests and test interfaces to validate your own code
- Applying sound design principles throughout
- 10+ years of proven software development experience
- Extensive C++, including modern standards
- Object-oriented design principles — a prerequisite, not a nice-to-have
- Extensive Linux experience;
Ubuntu desirable - Extensive multi-threaded, real-time software design, implementation and debugging
- Standard development tooling — Git, Jira or another issue tracker, Conan or a comparable package manager
- MSc in Computer Engineering or similar
- C and/or Python
- Docker
- Hands-on with lab equipment — signal generators, spectrum analysers, logic analysers, oscilloscopes
- Software-defined radio, DSP or another RF-adjacent domain
