QA Automation Engineer - Web

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Engineer - Web to support the delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable digital solutions within a modern technology-driven environment. This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks while ensuring comprehensive quality assurance practices across the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing software quality through automation, API testing, defect management, and continuous testing within CI/CD pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in QA Automation, Playwright, Type Script, API Testing, CI/CD, and Test Framework Development, with experience working closely with Product, Engineering, Dev Ops, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable digital experiences.

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable web automation frameworks using Playwright and Type Script.
• Create and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
• Build and maintain API automation solutions for functional, integration, and regression testing.
• Take end-to-end ownership of test automation activities for assigned products and features.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Dev Ops Engineers, and business stakeholders to define quality strategies and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with UAT teams to support test planning, execution, and validation activities.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and faster release cycles.
• Identify, document, prioritize, and track defects throughout the defect lifecycle.
• Perform root cause analysis and work closely with development teams to resolve quality issues.
• Generate test execution reports, dashboards, and quality metrics for stakeholder visibility.
• Ensure adherence to QA standards, testing methodologies, and best practices.
• Continuously improve automation frameworks, test coverage, and quality processes.
• Support quality engineering initiatives and contribute to testing strategy discussions.

• 5-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance with a strong focus on web automation testing.
• Proven expertise in:
• QA Automation
• Web Application Testing
• API Testing
• Test Framework Development
• Defect Management
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Playwright
• Type Script
• Java Script
• Experience building automation frameworks from scratch.
• Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Experience in test planning, test case design, and defect lifecycle management.
• Hands‑on experience with REST API testing and automation.
• Familiarity with API testing tools and frameworks such as:
• Postman
• Rest Assured
• Playwright API Testing
• Strong understanding of automation design patterns including Page Object Model (POM).
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage deliverables with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience collaborating within cross‑functional Agile teams.

• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as:
• Git Hub Actions
• Jenkins
• Azure Dev Ops
• Exposure to performance testing tools including:
• K6
• JMeter
• Gatling
• Experience with in Banking, Fin Tech, or Digital Transformation environments.
• Knowledge of modern software delivery and Dev Ops practices.
• Experience working within Agile and Scrum teams.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based application testing environments.
• Strong focus on quality engineering and continuous improvement.
