Robotics Engineer (Perception)

We are seeking a Robotics Engineer specializing in Perception to develop, maintain, and enhance perception capabilities within an autonomous robotics platform. This role focuses on enabling reliable environment understanding and supporting autonomous operation across a variety of robotic systems.

• Maintain and enhance perception capabilities, including:
  • Object detection
  • Semantic segmentation
  • Multi-object tracking
  • LiDAR-based terrain and environment understanding
• Adapt and extend perception functionality for new robotic platforms and operational environments.
• Develop clean, modular, and efficient C++ software following industry best practices and ROS1/ROS2 standards.
• Work closely with other engineering functions to ensure seamless integration and optimal system performance.
• Conduct field testing, validation, and tuning of perception features in real-world environments.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain clear technical documentation.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Vision, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience developing real-time perception or computer vision solutions.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with hands-on experience using ROS1 and/or ROS
  2.
• Experience with perception frameworks and libraries such as OpenCV, PCL, Open3D, PyTorch, and TensorRT.
• Practical experience in sensor calibration, obstacle detection, LiDAR processing, filtering, and related perception tasks.
• Familiarity with multiple sensor modalities, including LiDAR and monocular/stereo cameras.
• Experience with modern software development tools and workflows, including Git, Docker, and CI/CD environments.

• Experience working with off-road, outdoor, or unstructured environments.
• Knowledge of both traditional computer vision and deep learning-based perception techniques.
• Experience with dataset preparation, model training, optimization, and deployment.
• Exposure to transformer-based perception architectures.
• Hands-on experience with ARM
  64 edge computing platforms, such as NVIDIA Jetson devices.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
• Capable of working independently while contributing within a fast-paced engineering environment.
• Proactive and adaptable, with the flexibility to support different areas of the perception stack as business and technical needs evolve.
