We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain the server-side services and APIs that power our product platform. You will play a key role in ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of our core systems while collaborating closely with frontend, mobile, Dev Ops, and QA teams.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs and backend services
- Write clean, efficient, well-tested, and maintainable code following best practices
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and indexing strategies for performance at scale
- Integrate third-party services, payment gateways, and internal microservices
- Implement caching, queuing, and asynchronous processing to improve system throughput
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and technical design/architecture discussions
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in collaboration with Dev Ops and Support
- Implement and maintain automated tests (unit, integration) to safeguard code quality
- Ensure adherence to security best practices, including authentication, authorization, and data protection
- Document APIs, services, and system architecture for internal and cross-team reference
- 5+ years of backend development experience (e.g. Node.js, Java, Python, or .NET)
- Strong understanding of relational and/or No
SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) - Experience with microservices architecture and API design principles
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
- Good understanding of security, caching, and performance optimization practices
- Experience with message queues/event-driven systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) is a plus
- Working knowledge of version control (Git) and code review workflows
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to Kubernetes and infrastructure-as-code tools
- Familiarity with GraphQL and API gateway patterns
- Prior experience in a high-traffic, production-grade environment
- Token Management Strong knowledge of DevOPs on cloud Experience of building CI/CD pipeline
