Specialist - Application Developer

Dubai Media is looking for a Specialist - Application Developer to join our Enterprise Applications team within Information Technology
.

In this role, you'll design, develop, integrate, and maintain enterprise applications that support Dubai Media's business operations and digital transformation initiatives.

You'll work primarily with Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, SQL/PLSQL, RESTful APIs, and Oracle Cloud technologies
, while collaborating with different teams across the organization to automate processes, modernize applications, and improve digital services.

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications using Oracle APEX and Oracle Database
  .
• Develop responsive and user-friendly web applications based on business requirements.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and database objects
  .
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and support integrations between enterprise systems.
• Work with Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS) and support integration with systems such as ERP, HRMS, and Oracle E-Business Suite.
• Develop digital workflows, approval processes, forms, dashboards, and automated notifications.
• Support applications hosted on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and Oracle database environments.
• Enhance and modernize existing applications to improve performance, usability, and functionality.
• Apply secure development practices, including access controls, authentication, authorization, and SSO integration.
• Troubleshoot application issues, resolve defects, and continuously improve application performance.
• Collaborate with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology
  , or a related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in application development or enterprise software engineering.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, or Oracle APEX
  .
• Good knowledge of Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, SQL, and PL/SQL
  .
• Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs
  .
• Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and JSON
  .
• Experience working with relational databases and business application workflows.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), Oracle EBS, Entra /SSO, CI/CD, Docker, or API management platforms is an advantage.
• Oracle APEX, Oracle Database, or OCI certifications are an advantage.
