Equipment & Logistics Officer

Purpose

To maintain optimal equipment levels in all stations network wide, ensuring a balance of equipment availability and focus on cost efficiency of stock. Support with galley loading plans and equipment packing lists, preparing options and recommendations for stowage solutions.

• Manage stock levels, receipting, tracking, and reporting to always ensure availability in support of the EY operation within financial targets.
• Provide specialist input education and training of suppliers to manage caterer performance on equipment management, stock holding, reporting, and providing feedback.
• Ensure all galley loading plans and equipment lists are created and distributed in an accurate and timely manner, within company and aircraft weight limits, and ensures all provisioning tables for all items are kept up to date.
• Ensure all change requests are tracked and documented providing financial and operational impacts.
• Work with Service Delivery & Hospitality to implement changes based upon operational needs.
• Carry out performance audits to ensure ongoing compliance to standards laid out in galley plans and equipment lists, keeping audit logs, providing feedback and follow up on corrective actions.
• Support aircraft trials for new service routines and/or new equipment pieces.
• Support Hub and overseas caterers with the introduction of changes of galley loading plans and equipment loading plan including new station start-ups.
• Identify and recommend opportunities to reduce onboard weight and the removal of items not used at the levels loaded and justify reasons with data back-up.

• Diploma/Degree Level Education
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Minimum 4 years airline experience with at least 2 years in catering operations, equipment planning and knowledge of Aircraft galleys – Atlas standard (desirable)
