Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate equipment evacuation in line with Head Office guidelines and regional priorities.
- Ensure equipment availability in depots and terminals by analyzing forecasts and export requirements, focusing on fleet optimization.
- Monitor container supply and demand, idle full and empty containers, dwell time and stock levels to identify risks and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Agency Logistics Operations, depots and terminals to reduce empty idle time, optimize storage levels, and support cost efficiency.
- Identify and propose vessel backloading opportunities, including targeted idle units, projected volumes and damaged equipment.
- Work closely with Head Office, Regional Operations and Cargo Flow teams to maximize empty loading and discharge opportunities.
- Contribute to logistics cost optimization, imbalance management, empty repositioning initiatives and storage cost reduction projects.
- Ensure the proper use of CMA CGM Group logistics systems and monitor compliance with logistics procedures, reporting standards and system updates.
- Follow up on logistics KPIs and ensure timely and accurate reporting from local agencies, including logistics expenses under Form 9.
- Prepare weekly and monthly equipment reports including key data, highlights and recommendations for Head Office and Regional Management.
- Support improvement of logistics processes, tools and system features by identifying business requirements and regional needs.
- Ensure regional logistics requirements are aligned with CMA CGM Group strategy and commercial priorities.
- Perform any other logistics-related duties assigned by the Logistics Manager.
- Proven experience in container management at agency or regional office level.
- Strong understanding of equipment flow and logistics operations.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage at all levels.
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 5‑7 years of experience within a shipping line, managing a similar role or scope.
