We are pleased to announce an opportunity for a Network Planning Analyst. In this role you will play a significant role in optimizing the Etihad Airways’ cargo network that is operationally deliverable, maximizes profit and is aligned to the broader Etihad Aviation Group’s strategy.
AccountabilitiesManage the freighters schedule delivery/development process that supports the following key deliverables.
Short-term (current IATA season) that includes close‑in re‑fleeting, ongoing capacity optimization, operational integrity maintained, on‑time performance targets are delivered.
Long-term (6‑12 months) that includes supporting network/commercial requests to maximize profitability and working with key operational stakeholders to ensure operational compliance.
Recommend initiatives/changes to senior management as part of continual capacity optimization.
Annual budget schedule development.
5‑ and 10‑year schedule development which also incorporates the long‑term fleet strategy.
Ongoing coordination/communication with key stakeholders in the business that includes Network planning, Revenue Management, Alliances & Partnerships, Operations, Government Affairs, Finance and Corporate Communications.
Protect and ensure continual enhancement of Etihad’s slot portfolio.
Ensure timely and accurate publication of Etihad’s flights.
Manage ad‑hoc charter requests that add value and do not compromise the Etihad operation.
Design and implement a freighter network that ensures effective and profitable utilization of Etihad's fleet and balances cargo capacity.
Work with relevant stakeholders, including freighters operations, maintenance and commercial teams to ensure short‑term and long‑term optimization of fleet.
Manage the impact of capacity changes on the network.
Work with passenger network planning to understand cargo needs and requirements prior to implementation of network capacity introductions or adjustments.
Propose and implement corrective measures to achieve optimal utilization of freighter and belly capacities.
Analyze route profitability to support timely decision‑making including short‑term (tactical) and long‑term (structural) frequency and fleet adjustments.
Ideally you will have at least 3 years of airline experience in network planning/scheduling; exposure to airline cargo will be an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree/post‑graduate studies (preferred) in a relevant discipline.
Strategic planning and deep analytical skills.
Negotiation and advocacy skills.
