Monitors day-to-day marine activities, provides operational support, and resolves issues related to fleet and asset monitoring.
Responsibilities- Oversee monitoring of day‑to‑day vessel and asset performance, ensuring adherence to procedures and optimal fleet performance.
- Provide real‑time monitoring support for vessels on voyage using available tools.
- Engage with business units to achieve safe and economical voyages and monitor and manage alerts and notifications as per defined SoPs.
- Collaborate with ship or vessel crew to resolve operational issues related to routing, docking, and maintenance, using data‑driven insights.
- Offer recommendations to improve vessel performance, fuel efficiency, and operational processes based on IoT sensor data.
- Continuously take part in improving Milahi processes and engage with business units to address operational bottlenecks.
- Manage fleet performance dashboards, ensuring accurate, actionable data is available to stakeholders.
- Participate in operational planning to anticipate disruptions such as weather, port congestion, or maintenance needs, minimizing impact on fleet operations.
- Support vessels to comply with international pollution prevention regulations through appropriate fuel grades.
- Educational and Technical
Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science or equivalent.
- Certificate in Shipping Operations & Management.
- Certifications such as STCW II/2 certificate of competency.
- Language
Skills:- Proficiency in other languages relevant to the Cluster footprint is an advantage.
- Years of
Experience:- Minimum 5 years of ocean‑going experience with at least 2 years experience as a first officer, including navigation experience.
- Nature of
Experience:- Extensive experience in maritime sector with a focus on fleet efficiency, performance & asset monitoring.
- Experience with real‑time monitoring and data integration from AIS, radar, IoT sensors.
- Skilled in data analysis to drive performance and compliance improvements.
- Skilled in stakeholders management and knowledge of international maritime regulations.
- Skilled in communications, conflict management and dealing with high stress situations.
- Proficiency in English for effective communication and reporting.
