Role

Summary:

To manage and coordinate export logistics operations including vessel planning, port coordination, and documentation to ensure timely, cost effective, and compliant delivery of export cargo while optimizing operational efficiency and minimizing demurrage and delays.

• Plan and coordinate export shipments (breakbulk section and sheet piles, billets) from UAE ports.
• Liaise with shipping lines, vessel agents, port authorities, and internal stakeholders for smooth cargo handling.
• Monitor vessel nomination, berthing schedules, discharge/loading operations, and turnaround time.
• Ensure all export documentation is accurate and compliant (BL, invoices, customs, certificates).
• Track cargo movement from yard to vessel loading and ensure cargo readiness.
• Coordinate with transporters for timely delivery of cargo to port.
• Monitor and control demurrage, detention, port handling, and other logistics costs.
• Provide daily operational updates and elevate delays or risks proactively.
• Support contract execution and ensure compliance with agreed shipping terms (e.g. CFR, Liner Out).
• Participate in negotiations with suppliers, agents, and shipping lines where required.

• Ensure compliance with all relevant management policies, procedures, and controls within the Commercial Division of organization to ensure employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality services, and a responsible environmental attitude.

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

• 5–8 years’ experience in shipping, logistics, or port operations.
• Strong exposure to export cargo handling, vessel operations, and port coordination.
• Experience in steel or bulk cargo industry is preferred.
