UGR is an international Ro-Ro shipping company providing reliable and efficient vehicle logistics and maritime transportation solutions. As we continue to expand our operations, we are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Executive to join our Operations team.

About the Role

The Operations Executive will support the execution of PCTC and Ro-Ro vessel operations by coordinating shipments, preparing operational documentation, monitoring cargo movements, and ensuring smooth communication with ports, agents, and internal stakeholders. This role is ideal for professionals who enjoy working in a dynamic maritime environment and are passionate about operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of PCTC and Ro-Ro voyages and daily vessel operations.
  • Monitor vessel schedules, cargo readiness, and operational timelines.
  • Prepare, verify, and maintain operational documentation, including manifests, cargo lists, Bills of Lading, Statements of Facts (SOF), and operational reports.
  • Coordinate with ports, terminals, shipping agents, service providers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
  • Track shipments and provide timely operational updates to relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify operational issues, elevate them promptly, and support effective resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures, maritime regulations, and safety requirements.
  • Obtain competitive quotations from port agents and service providers to support cost-effective voyage execution.
  • Assist in monitoring voyage-related costs and preparing cost comparison and performance reports.
  • Maintain and update port tariff databases, including port charges, agency fees, stevedoring costs, and other operational expenses.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Maritime Transportation, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in shipping, maritime operations, port agency, or logistics is preferred.
  • Knowledge of PCTC/Ro-Ro operations and shipping documentation is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with Bills of Lading, cargo manifests, SOF, and vessel operations.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
